4 Ways to Create Offerings That Resonate with Your Community

01. Ask them!

Involve your community in the creation process.

Conduct surveys and/or polls. Their input can spark brilliant ideas and foster a sense of ownership!

Social media apps make it super easy to do this. Try posting an Instagram story using the “Questions” or “Polls” sticker to let folks submit their responses.

02. Pay attention to their questions.

Do the folks that you work with keep asking the same or similar questions? Explore crafting an offering that answers those questions.

If you’re teaching a yoga class and notice people asking similar anatomical questions, you could create a workshop that focuses on anatomy and explores what’s happening in the body during a yoga asana practice.

03. Notice what challenges they’re facing.

Craft offerings that address the challenges your community faces.

I created an entire workshop called “You Can Meditate” because I noticed people expressing similar frustrations around starting a meditation practice.

I took note of the various challenges that folks shared, and those conversations informed the workshop content and structure.

04. Take a genuine interest in their lives.

Start by getting to know your community and continue to engage with them.

Genuinely listen and learn about their dreams, desires, and aspirations.

This insight can help you craft offerings that are in service of your community and add value to their lives.
